Most websites will include that warning when shipping to the UK. Shame that website missed it...

I usually ship stuff to my parents and then grab ir when I visit.

Now, I'm not having a go at the NHS and this is most definitely not a political rant. Factually, we dropped a friend of ours of at the Cramlington Urgent Care Hospital at 12:00 with a suspected broken thumb. As of 19:00 hours she'd not been seen by anyone! It surely can't be right to keep people waiting 7 hours+ or am I being unreasonable ? And yes, she did check at the desk every hour to make sure she'd not been missed. Pretty poor.

You've a bit to go yet mate.
Took the missus to A&E with a possible brain haemorrhage last year, she was seen by a doctor after 18hrs and discharged after 23. We both slept in a hallway on chairs. Staff all amazing and clearly at their wits end.
Is what it is, just hope it gets the investment it deserves as the people are saints.

I was diagnosed with cancer last year. It was the size of a pea and a very slow cancer. The consultant dealing with me said (in a phone call on a Saturday) that a team of four consultants wanted to see me and was offered an appointment. Sadly I had already promised to look after a friends dog and house for six weeks in Spain, tickets bought and suitcases packed.

When I returned to England and contacted the hospital I was given an appointment in a weeks time and was in hospital for a wipple operation soon after. The cancer was removed successfully and a week later I was discharged cancer free.

I have had every type of scan since and had to go to central London for a nuclear scan too. I am cancer free but now a diabetic controlled with two tablets every day. I can't complain in anyway about the treatment I have been given and all of the staff from consultant to the lady who served the food in hospital were brilliant, can't say the same about the cook though. I don't think I could have been treated better had I been paying for private treatment.

A week after being discharged I tried to ride my bike but the stretch to the ground hurt too much. I bought a low seat off a nice chap on this site and that was it, sorted and off I went. The consultant was shocked when I showed up in motorbike gear for my first post op appointment but she smiled.

Update - after 8 hours she was finally seen, no fracture but ligament damage to the thumb (very painfull). A velcro splint and see your Doctor in 4 weeks time.

We have been having similar experiences with anything outside the usual 9/4PM.

It's a bit shocking the waiting times. The staff 100% makes up for it and then some, but it's absurd how skeleton crewed and understaffed they are.

My expeirience with Bassetlaw AE really couldn't have been better. I booked in at 14.00 on a Sunday afternoon, I was triaged, X-rayed, put in a cast and home before 16.30.

All my follow-up care has been at Donaster Royal Infirmary, I've had, two meetings with consultants and five physio appointments. I haven't had to wait more than five minutes for any appointment.

I joined a faceache group for ruptured achilles owner's, after reading several horror stories (mainly from the States where they push the surgery route) I appear to be very fortunate. My protocol is considered to be conservative but the local NHS have a very good success rate.

Trying to book an appointment with the local Dr's is totally different gravy, unless you go and join the physical queue at 07.30 you aren't seeing or speaking to a Dr.

If you are lucky the first medic you meet will be understand and know what to do. If not, you get someone who does not know or can't be bothered and is to too posh talk to you and will never to refer you to someone else. Funnily enough I've met motorcycle mechanice that are just the same.

I was nearly caught out by a text message on my phone from Amazon " your account has been suspended due to suspicious activity and I should log on to resolve the problem".
However a quick check on my PC showed no Amazon message. I checked the email address and it is an imaging company in Sweeden. So that's a crook doing some fishing , hoping I will click their link and give up my data and passwords.
So easy to get caught and why I do not have any financial do-dabs (I really hate the word "apps") on my phone.
As 'Gnasher' says Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Lots of these doing the rounds sadly, Thanks to Covid, even the pond scum work from home.
I always send a reply with something highly abusive, it serves no purpose but texts are free and I enjoy it

I also block and report the numbers through Google which hopefully takes 1 available number off their list to use.
