Was it something to do with the polarities not being as expected and maybe the bracket was shorting it out, aluminium does conduct very well.   :groan:

It's a diaphragm horn, isn't it? When mounted is there something restricting the vibration from the diaphragm, and producing the death rattle? Also, is there an adjuster screw for the diaphragm?
(Get a proper soundbomb. They're incredible!)

You're almost there Rusty.
The mini is plenty loud, now anyway.
There is an adjuster screw but that has not been touched.

Thanks y'all for playing along.

Was it your home-made sturdy aluminium bracket, then?

Rusty.
A cigar is on its way too you. Just provide your bank details to enable the free prize to be forwarded. You're welcome.
My first bracket which took blummin ages to make, pffffffftttttt, was an approx 3mm thick aluminium affair which had to be both bent and twisted. It was real fun. But what else do you do on a wet Sunday.
The instructions do state that sound output may be affected if non oem or Denali brackets are used.
The Denali are just thin steel which is easy to bend etc.
After failing to fathom the problem out and not wishing to throw it up the street I had my daily scrub down, and that's when it come to me, horns vibrate.
If the bracket is too rigid will that not allow the vibration to take place. Denali provide two plates so you can triangulate etc, but I just used the two side by side and bolted them back on.
Bingo, winner, winner, chicken dinner.
The bracket was too rigid all along.
I have fitted them before using my own bracketery (is that a word) with no issues, but this time it was obviously way too stiff.
Oooooh eeeeerrrrr missus.
Well done fella, don't forget your bank details.
Upt.

Enough volts, but not enough current?
If you isolate the bracket ........ as that is creating a dodgy earth?

Thanks for playing CoolShirt.
This was the bracket.
Anybody want a small, drilled, bent and twisted piece of aluminium scrap?
No. You only need to provide your bank details and a Nigerian Prince will deliver it for you.

It's all about the vibes .......man.
Recently had the same thing on my car. Did the same as you with a bit of ally and nope no good, a tiny parp that was it.
A quick rummage in THE BOLT BOWL revealed a  bendy horn bracket from god knows what and back in business ..toot.

Ho Hum.

Yes I over thought the job and made a good bracket and attached it rigidly. But it was simply too good which was bad.

"Oh! you like camping So I've bought this for you." " They clip together to keep things neat."
The burdon these words carry, endures.
The Knife is too small and blunt.
The fork will bend around the hole on the handle and will fold at the sight of mashed potato.
The spoon will be awkward to use due to the knob in the handle onto which the knife and fork can slot.
As I take them, I already know that I will never let them near my non stick pans.
I put them in the middle drawer of the kitchen unit where they can sleep unseen forever.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can. Nothing travels faster than the speed of time.

 lol lol
Yep, mine lasted 1 Scout Camp before I robbed 3 from the kitchen drawer and a rubber band. My latest camping set comes with a single cutlery item which seamlessly blends knife, fork and spoon into a single piece of colourful plastic which, whilst useless as a knife or fork, can cut open teabags when stirring  :dl_smiley_banghead:

DPD Couriers  :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead:

Last week my phone went pop and so I ordered a new one from EE. The delivery was arranged for next day, in a given timeslot. I sat eagerly awaiting my new shiny device. Then I receive a 'sorry we missed you message' from DPD. There is no way they knocked on my door  :violence-smack: So I ended up cancelling the EE order and having to drive to Argos to buy the new phone (£1249  ).

Yesterday, I order a new PC from Currys', it wasn't until the order was complete that I realised DPD were their courier. Guess what..... 'sorry we missed you'  :icon_batterup:

The most frustrating thing is that it is impossible to speak to a human at DPD to complain or to get any sense.  I eventually got through to Currys (in South Africa)  :icon_no: who were more interested in my name, address, phone number, email address, order number, inside leg measurement than dealing with my woes.

I cancelled the order and Currys now tell me it will take up to fourteen days AFTER they receive the item from their courier to refund me.

"Herpes" lost a new powered coolbox last year as they couldn't find the works office - I even gave them the what3words location for the office lobby.
The second attempt resulted in the same "sorry we missed you" message, but I can see the lobby from my desk and no-one came within sight of the front of the building for 30 mins before the massage came through.

Our office is a building from the 80's that used to be a Black Horse call centre, not exactly a pokey back street office above a kebab shop.
I did however get decent service from Ultimate Outdoors, who sent a 2nd unit to their sister company Go Outdoors and I picked it up two days later.

Hope you get your money or the goods asap Andy, DPD have a depot local to our office, and I quite often have it redirected there in their app before it goes out for delivery.

DPD round here are excellent. DHL leave stuff on front doorsteps in plain sight everywhere I go, and as for Evri...
Mrs. Nuts bought 12.5kg of fat balls with mealworms for the wild birds. clear instructions were left telling them to put the package in our waterproof plastic storage box, right by the back door. Got  text at work to say they'd delivered it. Looked at the "proof" photo. Sitting out on the front step. In a cardboard box. In the pissing rain. Flew off-route from work, stuck it inside. When we got home about 10 % had turned to mush in the bottom of the box. The retailers gave her a full refund, and I hope they'v claimed that back from Evri. Sadly, their payment model of only getting money for a "sucessful" delivery will mean more and more drop & dash couriers on the road.

Amazon around here leave parcels in full sight and don't knock at all. If we're expecting anything we go check every 20 mins or so in case it has magically appeared...
