Bugger, the gritters were out last night. The road outside my house is covered in fine, white alloy & steel eating powder. Not happy...

I thought they started spraying. This is stupid. After heavy rain I came back with white boots.  And it is only November!!

Three weeks ago I bought three connectors when I needed one and yesterday when I needed another the remaining two have vanished into a "black hole"  ### ### ###. I must have put it somewhere spacial to keep it safe.

Brocket, if you find them, can you see if my favourite hacksaw is there?

Is it a bit weird to have a favourite hacksaw?

I signed up as interested in the new (not a) v-strom 800 - contact me via email and SMS - within 30 mins I had 3 calls from different dealers offering to take my deposit.
I didn't tick the box to reserve one!

I had already found them. They were in a little box on my bookshelf. |I knew it was somewhere very safe from burglars because the locals won't go anywhere near a book. Sorry, no parts, no socks, no Biros. Not even a 10mm socket.

While out today and parked in weak sunshine the anti fog pinlock developed a film of condensation between itself and the visor. I removed the visor and uncliped the film. I wiped the condensation away with a tissue but when I tried to put it back in place one of the fixing  pins made a dash for freedom and could not be found. Riding home with no pin resulted in a really loud noise as wind whistled through that very small hole.  Damn. Does anyone know if these things are available as spare parts?

Bugger. My pinlock was misting in the 'void' today as well. I was thinking about field-stripping it. Glad I didn't now. Sorry, don't know if you can buy spare pins.

Dave, if you Google 'spare pinlock pins' you will see a multitude of possibilities.  :thumb:

Cats - why do they have to die in my garden? I got a strange phone call from the Mrs today to say that the postie had noticed a dead cat in the garden. Sure enough 'Tiddles' had shuffled off this mortal coil, probably hit by a vehicle and punted into my garden judging by the state of it's neck & head... Of course I muggins here had to pick it up and give it a formal & respectful burial in the wheelie bin. Cats, a nuisance when alive and almost as much of a nuisance when dead...
