Fog Lights
« on: March 10, 2009, 22:04:41 »

Sw Motech Fog lights, £100 with harness plus £ for brackets, Halfords do the same lights for £30 for the pair, SW are double.
Replaced with 35 watt H3 bulbs and 1 watt Led H3 bulbs.
A bit of tweaking and I put the two together.

The brackets are from SW motech themselves, the top lights are markers with 1 watt led bulbs so not use use full power all the time

I've had the £30 Halfords ones on a GS. They were fine, but got pretty gnarled up with the cold weather and salt during winter.. but then at £30 you just buy a new pair!

Are they the same as the £100 SW Motech ones then? Don't understand how SW can charge £100 for them if Halfords sell identical ones at £30!!!!

They look great but I'm not sure about where you've mounted them....
If the bike goes over, even whilst moving it around, you'll definately lose two
lights.
Why not mount them on a light bar like this....http://shop.heroblobs.co.uk/collections ... ki-v-strom     not exspensive at all and your crash bars will do their job properly.
