New Helmet
« on: February 27, 2012, 19:06:08 »
Bought a Shoei Multitec flip front at the weekend a bit expensive but really quiet and comfortable and well made, most of the buffeting and noise I presumed was coming from the screen etc has now gone and it was all down to the old helmet what a transformation well chuffed.

Result, they're a big investment and it's a shame you can't 'try before you buy' for obvious reasons.

Its amazing what a difference a helmet can make to the famous buffeting...How about a review of the Shoei once you've done a few miles blackops? Bet there's a few on here interested in them...

Gas, If you ever fancy a Shuberth C3 or a Multitec, pop to Proto on the hill, and talk to the young lad for hours, he eventually gets bored and offers them for really good prices (Think only a shade over £300 for the C3!) Had I have been lid shopping for me I would have had it, but as it as for a mate, she chose a Shark instead - cos it looked nice I suppose

Tried a c3 and many more types of helmet the multitec fitted the best then the shark the AGV the hjc then the  bell .The c3 was very tight across my forehead and felt heavy? Got the multitec for £290 with a tinted visor, pinlock  nose cone and neck insert. I cosidered it a good deal perhaps you may be able to buy it cheaper off the internet but my advice would be try and see which one fits best.

yeh I really liked the c3 and would def buy one if it fitted me. to tight across my forehead as well. Arai chaser is the best fit so far, tight fit alround but not uncomfortable. liked the idea of multitec type helmets, but none fitted me very well which is a shame.

I thought my Shuberth S1 was tight across my forehead too, but bought it as it was a really, really good fit everywhere else & looked very well made.

First couple of times on the bike I got a sore head and wasn't happy, shortly thereafter it was as comfy as a very comfy thing and its been brill ever since....

I've got a C3 and the only reason was because it fit me better than the rest by a long way - I just kept coming back to it, but hated the price on principle! There are just different head-shapes I guess (and feet...I can never find a pair of Merril shoes to fit me, never! Too narrow   ). Also, I'm always beteen sizes on HG clothing, including gloves! Bloody frustrating!

Rant over. I'm getting more like that 'Grumpy Owld Git' (or whatever) programme every day!
