Shoei Whisper Strip

Picked up a Shoei Whisper Strip this morning and just back from a 200 mile run with it attached. The decrease in wind noise is remarkable, even although the Qwest is a reasonably quiet lid to start with. Delivered from RaceVisors.co.uk within 24 hours for £21. Get one!

Nice tip, my mate fitted on to his Shoei, made a big difference as you say. Not a bad price either.

I'm fairly sure that it's a universal fit, so should fit most helmets as long as you have a tiny gap between the shell and the liner. If you can get something like the blade of knife between them, then the whisper should fit in there too.

I have seen an item that goes on the outside of the lid, kind of like a big elastic band, but it doesn't look too clever.

That could be the Windjammer. Looked at them before.

I glued a bit of velcro into the gap in the foam at the front of my xr1000. Then got another bit of velcro and glued it to a 1 cm thick bit of foam nearly as wide as the gap. Stick the 2 together, blocking up of that gap makes a huge difference to the wind noise.
