From what I have read, the suggestion is to do the NC500 in anti-clockwise direction. Some have suggested the east side (Inverness to John O’Grouts) is pretty but a little boring compared to the west side. I presume the views are also more dramatic travelling east to west, but I haven’t been so can’t confirm.

The west is the best Grainger, same applies to Ireland!

East coast is beautiful but the west coast is three times beautifuller ( there's a new word for you)
