Hello Folks, new to the group and thanks for accepting me, I've got a poorly, backfirey v-strom which seems to be getting worse, nevertheless I’m a proud owner and love the bike immensely

Backfire through the air box or back fire through the exhaust?
If the latter then exhaust gaskets at the rear header pipe are a likely cause.
Former more of a concern but possibly throttle balance or a loose air box boot, valve issue less likely, dependant on mileage and service history. Good luck with it, post any questions in the V-Strom discussion section and someone will be along shortly
