I didn't know what a CFMoto was until it was mentioned here. I Googled it and found this. Not for me but it seems to be a great bike.  :thumb: :auto-dirtbike:

It was reviewed in Ride mag this month , v the new Himalayan, and won
IF..big IF..you have a dealer nearby, I can see the allure.
Time will tell if it is reliable.

Recently appointed dealer, Smalley Cross, is 5 miles away........and is owned by a neighbour, they took a chance in buying privately a virtually zero miles bike as a demo, no other dealer in the UK has a demo.
As a result of having that demo bike available and since last Saturday, they've taken eight orders for delivery Feb/March 2025 - two of which are me and my bro with minimal deposit paid.
There is another dealer, predominantly Kawasaki, about 20 miles away, they reckoned they have orders for 30 and had nothing but praise for the 300, 450 and 800 CFMoto's.

Another neighbour runs/owns the local Triumph/BMW/Ducati dealerships (Pidcock's), in conversation with him I think it's going to be a tough year for dealerships with Bahnstormer BMW closing and one of the two Birmingham Triumph dealerships closing.
I could comment more but it's commercially sensitive and I wouldn't want to prejudice any company's position.

And to add to that comment re. dealerships finding it tough, a local auction company had, up until yesterday, a load of bankrupt motorcycle clothing up for auction.

As I was saying above regarding ongoing trading conditions, I see Completely Motorbikes has gone in to administration

Had to google them, fairly big dealers.
Some of the big dealers can get caught out with expensive stock sitting around that isn,t moving .
If their business model relies on high turn over and getting lots of bikes in stock , new and secondhand, it doesn't take much of a dip to cause cashflow problems.
Though remember Carnells, they went under due in no small part to them having very poor customer relations that eventually caught up with them

And out again this morning on a V-strom 800RE, which I thought was pretty good all round with the exception of the buzz through the bars at around 5k rpm which just happens to be 70mph.

Pete, ride at 80mph. The speedo is probably not accurate anyway so a shown 80 is probably only 75 anyway.......... Sorry, you already know that.  :thumb:
