Ooooo! I do love a Garibaldi with a cup of tea. Garibaldi gloves look good too and I'm keen to know how they are in a storm.
I went for my MOT yesterday which meant a ride over Dartmoor to Plymouth. It was lashing with rain and even though my temperature gauge showed 8c it hailed half way there. I had my visor open because I couldn't see with it closed and the hail was really hurting my face, I had a balaclava on too.
I promised myself before leaving home that I would ride over the bridge at "Postbridge" at 30mph but when I got there I hit it at 70mph (as usual do except in summer when there are people around) and flew like a bird.

.
The bike passed it's MOT but the front pads will need changing after a few 1000 miles, to be honest I already knew that and have a new pair already waiting to be fitted. I changed them myself the last time but with the rain like it is I will probably have my local mechanic do the job in his garage.
The ride out was fun until I hit a sharp right hander a little too quick for the gravel that I didn't see. The front wheel slid a little and my stomach turned for a second, strangely that doesn't usually happen, I think the medication I take helps. Anyway, I didn't crash but remembered the corner for the ride back.
I left Plymouth as it was getting dark so decided to take the A38 and A30 on the way home. The A road turned out to be too dangerous because it was still raining and I couldn't see through the lights of oncoming traffic so I turned off to ride through Mortenhamstead on a twisty road with (I thought) no traffic.
A few more miles and I was presented with a 100m flood, I was in it up to the top of my boots before I saw it properly so not wanting to put my foot down to turn around (it was a narrow road that would have meant a three point turn) I road through. The water came over my boots so I got wet feet anyway

.
Now the good bit, I was going to have a tin of soup with some toast because it was late, I was knackered and my back felt broken but went into the kitchen and remembered the roast dinner I had put in the fridge yesterday.
So, I ate while watching the Winter Olympics then slept like a log. A boring day and a even more boring read but I just thought I would help you sleep, if you didn't half way through.
2112, I do look forward to your right up on the gloves. If they are good then please let us know where you got them and the cost

Over and out.
