Took Deb out for dinner. Very nice pub & a very nice meal.
Then drove over to one of our local gun clubs to have a look. They've bult a new club house & built new clay shooting stands & altered others.
They've also got a very nice cafe, where I could have got
two all day breakfasts for the price I paid for one of the meals in the pub!
(I've logged it in the mental microwave for future reference.

)
However the main reason I wanted to go was check out the new rifle ranges they've built, in particular, the air rifle range.
I'm not using the shotgun as much now, as the two lads I used to go with don't shoot any more & it's not so much fun on my own. Deb will come with me & release the clays, but it ain't the same.
She will use the shotgun but it is a bit heavy for her & she complains about a sore shoulder after a dozen cartridges or so.

Anyway, an air rifle seems to be a good idea/compromise, not only could Deb use it but the grandkids could too.
Decisions, decisions. Sell/part exchange the shotgun & buy an air rifle or keep the shotgun & buy an air rifle?

The lad in the shop mentioned an Air Arms S510 (.177) as a good range rifle, he also said it would be good for pointing at the rat(s) under my decking.

Anyone (Doc) with knowledge of such things please feel free to advise.
