When it comes to parking I'm told (you can probably guess who by) I resemble a dog wanting a crap, just keep going around until it's just right.
Pffffffftttttt.

This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can. Nothing travels faster than the speed of time.

Today I've had 4 tyres fitted to the big Kia. I've been keeping an eye out on eBay for Continental Silent Contact part worn tyres in my size (285/45/21 113W). Over the last few months I've gathered a great set of 4, all with 7mm of tread for a total of £380 (averaging £95 each). That's the price of ONE new Continental Silent Contact with 8 mm of tread ! Fitted today for just £60, absolute bargain. The original Conti's came off with the two rears at 2mm and the two fronts at 2.5mm @ 16,500 miles. I should get at least 12,000 miles out of this set. Happy.

That's good to read 2112. It's not like you even got lucky, you just worked at it, and took the earned reward.

Now back from our holiday in Majorca, we had a fantastic time here are some pictures.
The first few are from the Majorca Safari Zoo.
The view from our Balcony.  Which you can see Menorca on the Horizon. we could also see a lighthouse in the distance. So one day we drove to find it. Up a very steep mountain pass and what a beautiful lighthouse, There was a French couple on a BMW GS Adventure.
Great views from up there see pictures.
My wife took some pictures while we were driving (sorry they are not great)
We only had Rain one day Sunday. the rest of the holiday was beautiful sunshine ☀️
Opposite our hotel a single track road which I used to walk up which lead to a Forest with some very Attractive looking Trails Ideal for nigel s on his CRF  lol
Anyway there are a lot of pictures so my Apologies.

Looks a nice place for a ride, even on my DL1000A. Enjoy.  :thumb: :auto-dirtbike:

I opened the curtains this morning and I was greeted with the view below... Bugger. Out with the tyre inflator, along the road to Stakeford Tyres and a puncture repair. Or not. I've picked up a 6" long coach bolt which is right at the edge in the unrepairable zone (it was directly underneath, so I only saw it when I got to the tyre shop). Double bugger. Sadly it's damaged the carcase as well, meaning even a major repair is out of the question. Triple bugger. So, I have a new Continental tyre on it's way for a hefty £380. Quadruple bugger...

We're off to Ilkley tomorrow for a stay over and to visit Martinez Wines annual tasting event with over 250 wines to sample. I don't want to be late for that !

Flippin eck, that's a hefty price for a tyre. Thank goodness I only have 18" rims

I had a quick Google, 30 seconds and found the same and even a Y rated tyre of the same brand and size for £100 ish less. I think you are being ripped off unless it usually costs £100 to fit a tyre still, you are in a rush and needs must. can't let all that wine go to waste. Enjoy  :icon_drool5:  :thumb:

I'm rather pleased with myself, I cut down and rebuilt a stable door for our Shetland pony.
The red line is height of the original door.
A splash of barn paint on the frame etc is all that's needed. Mind you, the way I paint, it'll probably be a splash.
