I wouldn't ride behind one if they were giving them out for free. That's the point I have already made.

Understood. Mine was that you can't judge it till you've tried it. Judging beforehand is, as the Romans would say, prejudice. From a point of ignorance.

I have stated we are all different. Please appreciate my opinion from an aesthetic point of view that I wouldn't go near one. So why would I need to try one? I have a car if a breeze is an issue. I'm assuming that is the screen in plain view on a KTM. If you're OK with that attached to your bike then all is good.

You assume incorrectly. That's not an Airflow in the picture. The use of the word 'breeze' in your post tells me all I need to know. You are speaking from a standpoint of ignorance, and seem to be proud of it.  Good boy.

Ouch. Guess I touched a raw nerve with the KTM screen. The cherry on top deflector only adds to the spectacle. Such a beautiful bike ruined. You need not say anymore on the subject (hopefully).

No nerves touched at all. 👍

You've never tried an Airflow and, quite obviously, never will. You didn't recognise my screen.
You've just admitted, and proved, that you don't know what you're talking about.

Please stop it you two. You are both obviously very passionate about your argument but really, is it worth arguing about? Life it too short.  :thumb:

I'm not passionate, Doc. I don't  even own an Airflow screen. I had one on the glee, so I know what they are about.  It just seems wrong that some dickhead can pontificate on a subject he clearly knows absolutely feck all about. Nothing personal, just people talking out of their arses in general.

And I've owned and ridden a Vstrom plenty of miles, John.

A clear sign of limited intelligence are personal insults. Says all we need to know and confirms my initial thoughts. Unnecessary and very sad indeed.

I had my first Vstrom a K9 in 2015,I am now on my 3rd one and have fitted  a Givi Airflow on all of them,I have probably rode about 50,000 miles on all three, and about a hundred thousand miles on other bikes and can honestly say that the Airflow is the second best screen on all of the bikes I have had over the last 35 years. The best was a high screen on a Honda ST1100 that I had to cut down by a couple of inches.I have tried several other screens on the Vstrom but the Airflow in my opinion is definitely the best.If you have never rode behind one you cannot comment on them except perhaps on the looks.

I can comment and did. The comments were entirely based on the look which I personally find important. I made clear that I appreciated we are all different. That's when everything starting going pear shaped. Maybe if folk can't handle constructive criticism they should consider not commenting at all. Calling on fellow members for back up only adds to potential clashes. I'm 60 yrs old, thick skinned and owned a ton of bikes over the years which qualify me to add my opinion. I am not some "dickhead on the Internet" as described by the group member. You give it, I'll meet you head on every time.

johna6968 and Rusty Nuts, Despite your little war of words I feel quite sure that if you met (and I'm not suggesting you do) then things would be different and a diplomatic approach would be to just respect each others view, shake hands and have a beer, of course.

I for one like and enjoy your posts especially Rusty Nuts who has been a member for a long time and made many good posts and has a great sense of humour. I do look forward to more posts from you too  johna6968, please.

If ever you see me fall out with anybody on this sight please give me the advice I have given you and when you are 69 as I am now then life is too short.  :thumb:

I wouldn't put a Givi Airflow on if they were free  :stirpot:

Why? Please enlighten us.

"Fight, fight, fight".
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.
