Took my lad to football
Even he said getting there was better than football  :thumb:  Especially when we overtook a Miss Daisy-alike  :)))

I haven't done anything today yet but I am going to take out the old '82 Honda 250 Superdream to blast the cobwebs out, it's almost finished now and rides really well for an old bike lol.
Have you been restoring it? Would love to see a few pictures please! :-)

fitted my fork brace and mirror extenders,
tried to fit my pc8 but bottled it.

Investigated how best to fit my ebay tool tube thingy.

ACF50'd the whole bike.

Lovely day not to be out on it, but I needed to get that ACF50 on, because I won't be washing the bike again for some significant time (not my idea of a fun thing to do)

took it on the back lanes and tracks.
Lots of water and mud, great fun and now covered in it.
Will ride it to work in the rain tomorrow to wash some of it off!

I'm more making it mechanically sound at the moment. It needs some tlc but I'm waiting for warmer weather and it needs the seat sorting too, someone has recovered it badly.

Link for tool tube thing

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Enduro-Green-Lane ... 3cab2be995

It's abs plastic, and looks like a big flask.
Note, it has a flat bit predrilled in each end, couple of holes one end and 1 hole the other (if that makes any sense)

I reckon I'm going to just fit mine to the inside of my givi rack, rather than drilling into the bodywork or anything.
Worst case, 2 stainless steel cable ties would hold it rock solid.

Washed two weeks worth of road grime off it. Instant change from a grey Wee to a white one
Took a bit of slack out of the chain as the gear changes were getting lumpy, and fitted my Scottoiler at last.

I rode my DL in the dark for the first time last Friday and I was out again tonight.

I think the lights are excellent and light the road well. they're in a different league to a GS.

looking forward to getting out again tomorrow now that the snow has gone.

Fitted the excellent quality rad & oil cooler covers from Cymarc today. Had to make a small modification to them to fit.... a small cutout was needed on the bottom of the rad cover as it was catching on one of the plastic tabs that holds the rubber flap and subsequently the hole wouldn't line up on the bottom rad bolt. Also had to remove the engine bars before I could get the rad cover on. So all in all took me a couple of hours of fecking about. Extremely pleased with them though.
Also cut about 5 inches off the bottom the rear mudguard in line with the bottom of the numberplate and fitted a carbon look tank protector. Also added a handlebar brace and Renthal pad, the brace to reduce vibes as I have lighter flush fitting bar ends... and the Renthal pad just for looks.

Yes... I've been thinking about modifying it and cutting it even shorter. Got any pics on what you've done ?

I used this angled stuff to make a crude bracket for the plate

The number plate light is a motrax LED 1, had to make a little bracket out of stainless steel plate
I found in the garage.
Not at all high tech but it works for me.I think I took about 3 inches off the mudguard.
Doing away with that ugly oem plate light was what I really wanted to do.

Good job.
I want to do something similar, but preferably with no mudguard showing under the numberplate.
Do you think that reflective tape replacing the red rear reflector will be legal ?

don't see why not, its reflective. And its larger than the original.
The only thing with making the actual mudguard shorter is the possible problem
of spray flying up and over the back of the bike.My thinking was take little bits off at a time.
I may shorten it further its easy enough to cut it with a good pair of scissors.

Looks good.

I must admit I like the look of the original light and reflector.  Plus it provides a base for a 4 inch antenna for me.
