For those of you who can't travel yet, a video of the amazing road around Ullswater and leading up to the Kirkstone Pass summit.  :)

Thank you, it's s bit long but the whole road is worth recording. I'm using a Raven Technology action camera, it's a fairly cheap unit from Xlmoto (I have reviewed it on YouTube).

The sound though is from my iPhone, a little trick that I saw on YouTube. You set you phone to record sound and wrap it up in a cloth and stash under the seat, that way you only record the exhaust and engine note and not any wind noise.

Then just combine the two recordings and you get a fairly decent sound track... Even with a 16 year old stock exhaust  :)
