The helmet I was talking about in my post above was a Nolan N103 and the pinlock that came fitted was fine for 8 years. Just now replacing a Nolan N104, after five busy years, and that one’s pinlock has been great too.
They came ready fitted on purchase, I’ve just bought a Caberg Levo and the pinlock is loose in the box so will be interesting to see if this one, fitted by me, is as good.
The only time I have had any fogging, in the pinlock area, was when I left it loose after cleaning which, as I said, rectified itself as soon as I tightened the cams up.
