« on: October 18, 2020, 15:37:58 »
Hello
In the process of looking for 2018 DL650 , have test ridden and all good
Only thing is not sure how good headlights are , do a lot of winter commuting in the dark so wondered if the 2018 DL650 headlights are good ?

regards Steve

I have the 1000 (2015), yes not the same bike but it is the same headlight and I think its poor. I've  tried better bulbs, better adjustment etc but compared to my last dual light bikes ( tiger800, yam fz1) there  crap.

I had 1000 2014 and now have 1000 2017 ('18 model). On both I replaced high and low beam bulbs with zDatt LED bulbs and couldn't be happier with illuminating the road after installing them. As for the LED's, after installing them both high and low have to be adjusted to point much lower as they were sending the beam to the sky.
DL1000 2017 white
DL1000 2014 red (sold)
DL650 2012 white (sold)

Well in the UK, the Sky's the limit.    :)
