A thread that Rhino Vstrom started recently, caught my eye and got me interested in converting the headlight unit on my machine. I was recommended a Danish company called Full Blast Inc by STROMY

Shortly after, I contacted a really lovely chap called Allan at Full Blast, who helped me with my enquiries through prompt email responses - me being a bit old school, I picked up the phone and called them to set up the purchase. Within minutes the deal was done and I was provided with tracking details. Their costumer service was top notch and I would confidently recommend them.
The item had reached the U.K. within 3 days, but was held up at my local depot due to Covid-19 pressures. It finally reached my doorstep within a week, which is still very good.
The light was well packaged, it was double boxed, within a polystyrene layered box and was surrounded by air pillows. Included in the package was some complimentary stickers and a branded neck warmer, which I thought was a great touch.
Fitting the headlight was simpler than I though it would be. A good friend came over to lend a hand, and we had it done within 90 minutes. Firstly we took off the side panels and beak:

Then we took the dash off to gain access to the screws holding the light in place:

We decided it was easier to take the whole front panels off the bike, including the light unit, so we could get to what we needed to more efficiently. There were a few plugs that needed unplugging to enable us to do this but they were pretty self explanatory when reassembling:
(NB: It made life easier to get the panel off by removing the screen adjuster springs in the picture directly above.)
The existing light unit needed a little light persuasion to come out of the holders it was sat in. The rubber grommets were taken off and reapplied to the new unit before swapping them over:

Shortly after all the bits and bolts were put back together again and I was super pleased with the results:

Here’s a quick snap of how it lights up the road:

Overall, I truly believe this is a mod which is very worthwhile and yielded me a significant upgrade in making the bike more visible on approach to any other road user. It’s a completely plug and play unit and is relatively simple to install, albeit a little bit finicky.
