Smart move.
Not so smart of me getting mine done a few weeks early in case this grace period never happened....  :angry-banghead:

My MOT runs out today, did have an appointment, but cancelled to avoid going out, wonder if I’m OK after Monday using the bike for essential travel as apposed to my van. We are self isolating but are having difficulty getting deliveries.
I've been asked why I have 3 bikes, well that's because I'm not allowed any more.

You would need to get an MOT before the 30th of march.
I don't know why they didn't backdate it to the beginning of march, this would have stopped people rushing to get things done.
We are closing on Friday for the foreseeable but up until then every available MOT slot is taken up ...  :dl_hyperhysteria:

If you get caught up in this it might be worth contacting your insurers to find out what their take on this is, as they are well known for using any excuse to wriggle out of paying out in the event of a claim and no MoT?

Think I’ll play safe and not use the Vstrom until things settle down and I get an mot. It looks like the mot holiday applies only if your mot runs out after Monday. I can use my van or my wife’s car if required.
Thanks for the replies

Lorries have already got an extension..... only because they have to be inspected every 6 weeks ... the normal person who runs a car doesn't give a shit about tbe condition of their transport until the MOT .... that's why they do not have a grace period

I got my bike MOT'd yesterday.
About an hour before the extension was anounced.

I wouldn't have bothers apart from it is likely to be required to carry the shopping.
And at 11am yesterday I was expecting to be going back to work next week, holiday this week  :bawl:
But work has decided to close all stores thank christ... who needs fecking tiles at a time like this?
