Hello from Dumbarton.
« on: August 03, 2019, 18:24:02 »
Guess whos back. Baldies back.
Bigredbaldyman now rides a 57 plate 1000dl. Couldn't remember my password so here I am as a newbiew once again.

I went from crashing my strom 650 to crashing my Deauville 650 3 months after buying it, rode her like a pig until m insurance tripled and stayed off the road for a while.

I've got to say I'm loving the 1000 cc beast :lala: It has a niggle though so I'm looking for input.

There I a rattle from the clutch plate through the lower gears and it seems to remain rather than go away like the seller suggested.
It don't bother me but I need advice on the cons of riding with it.
The next issue is usually around about 2.5-3k revs, she stutters and labours a little and feels like a bike with a reserve would when its needing to switch! Maybe a fuel injector issue or air filter perhaps!

Thanks in anticipation

Tonto

Hello and  :welcome2: back
Look at the clock and the calendar.
It'll never be now again.
So just get out and do it.
As fast as you possibly can.
