[sees opportunity] Been meaning to bring this up Fat Rat, but, see, I been stuck on one banana for ages now, yet I have, er, all these other responsibilities above the 'one banana' grade...How about a bonus? Not even a whole banana, a kumquat would do

[sees opportunity] Been meaning to bring this up Fat Rat,

A Kumquat is completely out of the question, mainly because I haven't got a fecking clue what one is. I have given you a grape, be grateful.

Personaly I like it here, and don't need farcebook.
The time effort and money put into this forum renders it a font of knowledge, a place where fun can be had, and its obscure enough so not every muppet and w@nker on the planet looks in.
Facebook can also be a thief's shop window.

I don't think Facebook.... or equivalents such as Twitter can ever replace a forum - they're different animals. The "social meejah" is fine for "social"stuff - idle chatter, selfie posing etc, but fora provide a channel for constructive debate, sharing of knowledge and a repository for data. Yes, I use Facebook from time to time, but I wouldn't miss it if it went away: this forum ( and a few others) however, I'd be very sad to lose!
