Been away for some time having sold my DL1000 (just e-blagged the last of the lock up finds) & owned an assortment of toys since.

However looking for a small toy to join the fleet & the DL250 seems to be unpoplular enough to pre reg and heavily discount by stealerships.

So question is many owners on here/ views opinions other than usual Suzuki build quality (down to a budget ) easy gears & robust 250 lump.

I think three members have DL250's on here.

John Storrie is the most active.

Hello,
Don't have much experience with the DL250 because they are so new but, if its any help I service/maintain a couple of Suzuki GW250 inazuma's which have the same motor and general build quality.
They are used by couriers, not looked after as you would imagine but each of them are nudging the 50k milestone.
Apart from the usual consumables one of them had a new stator and regulator at around 35k and the other has had its regulator changed around 40k, Otherwise they are still going strong.

I reckon the DL250 would be a good buy.

Thanks folks just the sort of feedback I wanted especially kwackboy as hands on mechanicals is the proof.

I was aware it's the inazuma engine but in that guise I found the seating not suitable for me.

 I have steered away from Suzuki for a few years as I got tired of recalls on every new model bought.

However whilst not in the same league the DL is a cheap Honda CRF 250 alternative for minor off road jaunts.

Will look for a demo bike and report back
