Hello there
« on: March 11, 2018, 22:20:21 »
First time Vee owner here (DL1000 GT K7) although I did own a TL1000S some time ago, which I loved.

Iím a newbie to ďadventureĒ bikes but I must admit I have no plans for any off-road adventures.

In addition to the Vee I have a 1978 Suzuki GS1000 and (whispers...) a KTM RC8.

Unless it's got two wheels and an engine slung in the middle, I'm not interested.

Hello and  :welcome2: from  :traitor: in the far North East of Essex
Look at the clock and the calendar.
It'll never be now again.
So just get out and do it.
As fast as you possibly can.

Thank you all for the warm welcome.
Iíve just collected my Vee from the dealer and trailered it home. I unloaded it, started it successfully once, then when I tried to start it a second time the battery was completely dead! So no first ride today.
Anyway, itís now on a trickle charger, but itís taken 3 hrs to move from ďadsorbĒ to ďchargingĒ so Iím not holding out much hope for the battery. Iíve called the dealer and heís promised to replace the battery if it doesnít hold its charge, so thatís the good news.
