You can do one at a time.
Pat- 2007 DL650A was ridden to all 48 contiguous states. 2012 DL650A outlasted me.
Nicknames I use to lessen typing, Vee = 2002-2012 (K2-L2) DL1000s. Veek=2014+ (L4+) DL1000s. Wee = 2004-2011 (K4-L1) DL650s. Glee = 2012+ (L2+) DL650s

As said ... one at a time if you are on a budget but if your front will be needed soon why waste a journey ..

As GW says.

But; you may well get a deal on a pair as opposed to singles, and one longer "slot" of workshop time should be better value than two separate visits.
If the rear is goosed and the front nearly, I'd probably do both. I recently put just a rear on because the front was fine and I had a 2,500 mile week ahead of me which would have killed the rear.

cheers blokes

I won't get into the whole thing of which rubber is best. seen a deal for Pirelli, got a quote for Michelin pr4 and looked at just sending my bike into get money off a new DL1000.  :icon_drool5:

but yeah they need done and makes sense to get hit once with a cost as opposed to twice

Yeah I'm the same as others, if the front won't last much longer then buy both now. If you buy both tyres at once it is usually cheaper than one at a time + less hassle.

You'll probably find that when the rear tyre has worn out that the front will have loads of wear left and will last for as long as another rear tyre.
I've only ever had one bike where the tyres wore out together (Bridgestone 023's on an FJR1300)

I get mine mail ordered fitted to loose wheels (get pair deals if available), I change one at a time if they are worn out and currently have a Michelin Anakee 3 rear and a Bridgestone TrailWing up front, no issues.

Yeah one at a time unless the other is almost shot anyway.
Now on a Super Tenere having put 64k miles on a 2011 DL650
