knee sliders
« on: August 31, 2008, 09:30:55 »
My Hubby, who rides a CBR  is doing a track day in October with a few of his more sensible  friends  ;)

I've just bought him a one piece leather suit with very shiny knee sliders  :rolf:  The prospect of Steve actually getting his knee down could be pretty slim    so our friend suggested I take him to the local kids roundabout and let him scuff them there

Any more suggestions   lol  lol  lol    lol  lol  lol

I know someone who took an angle grinder to his knee sliders to give that 'racer effect'

He was wearing them at the time and apart from needing a repair to his leathers he very nearly lost his knee cap.

A friend and colleague relates the tale of seeing someone hiding in the car park at a bike show using a housebrick for that 'exuberant cornering' look.

At the same show he observed a car full of punters arrive in the car park, get out of the car, put on their leathers and go into the show....

Same friend / colleague took my 04 Wee out the other Saturday and got the offside front peg down. The bike rides on 'Distanzas'
No bike at present.......
