This exercise worked for me last time I mine "went". I say "went" an MRI showed one ruptured disc and one herniated either side of the one that had been removed.

Perhaps these posts should be added to "What have you done with your back today"?

Good luck mate.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

As a retired carpenter back problems have plagued my working life and the Mc Kenzie Treat your own back book used to be my bible but times have moved on and latest back guru is Stuart McGill.  I can not recommend his book Back Mechanic enough as it is really very good for self diagnosis, repair and maintenance.  Lots of his stuff on YouTube as well.  Mind my experience is that everyone has to find there own way as everyone is different.  Anyone who suffers from back pain has my empathy.
Good luck Ian

Annular? Does that mean you get it every year?

He miss-heard Paul, he has an Anglia strain which is of course the prelude to an Escort.

Take it easy Krockboy, don't try and rush anything.

(Should be easy enough, you charge by the hour.....)

Yes,

It needed a disc replacement, I decided to go aftermarket because OEM were too expensive..  :thumb:

I gave the SV another clean. I'm more of a rider than a cleaner and I keep finding areas to clean. Today I cleaned the underside of the chainguard/ hugger.    Yeah! that bored.
As an aside there was a light film of black sooty grease on the bike when I started cleaning in September.  It was on everything and I was some time into the clean-up when I began to think it is from the exhaust of my diesel tow car from the bike being lugged about on the trailer.   I have checked the trailer and that is covered in the same filth. I think I'll be covering the bike next time I lug it about.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

We had some cracking nicknames for people when I worked at the 'leccy board. Thrush was one, we had Thrombosis (a slow moving clot), Needle (a one eyed prick) and also pontoon (one stick & one twist) for the same chap. Cruel but fun, I got BBC for Big Baldy Chap. At least I think it was chap...

Was it Billy Connolly or a Harland & Wolff shipbuilder who told the tale of their first black colleagues. One chap started work, and he was quickly nicknamed midnight. When another black worker was set on, being somewhat browner/paler, he was deemed to be not as black as midnight, and became known as half past ten.

We also had Dr Dolittles brother Will (Will do little) and Billy Idols brother (bone) for a less than enthusiastic fellow...
