Took me and the other half today from home to Hawes for a coffee and bacon buttie, giving the new Versys a rude out then went to Masham round to Rippon then home via the A59.
I must say I getting very impressed with the Versys it's so smooth ,very comfortable handles like a dream well over 200 miles on a tank . Going to Scotland on Tuesday first time ever been away on a proper tour and I know I have the right bike for this .

I've always liked the triple black version of the F800 but at the time I bought my F800GSA there wasn't any triple black models for sale, they are quite rare.
I decided to purchase a white model (am I allowed to say that..?) knowing one day I'd get the panels sprayed black so, today is the day the panels and Beak are removed So I can take them to my local paint shop.  :lala:

Yes , the beak is going back on ...  :stirpot:

Had another run to check the KTM suspension was back to how it should feel, and it is. The one click on compression and turn of preload has had no ill effects, and might have reduced the dive on braking a bit as intended. Hard to judge as the forks were pretty stiffly damped last time out.

SV650:- I installed bar risers only to find the clutch cable has not one mm of spare slack.
I am wondering if the DL650 clutch cable will fit.
It would be most useful if someone with DL would measure their  cable and let me know it's length.
Yes it's a daft question sd it needs to be off the bike to be measured but someone may have a cable in their garage shed. I will also post on the V-strom specific page in case someone can help but never wanders down these dark corridores...

To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Thanks TLP. I think I'll take a trip to the bike shop and study their Glee / Gleek and compare the end fittings.

Just so long as  the cable is from the gladius engine . The earlier models had a different clutch mechanism .

I had the Guzzi in for it's first service, 915 miles and all is well. I had a Vespa 300cc twist & go scooter as a courtesy bike, surprisingly fun to ride around town and quite nippy. Hopeless on the open road however.

This means that I can now spank the Guzzi like you would a ginger stepson  :icon_batterup:
