Just back from a little run around East Staffs & Derbys' Dales. Lunch (dinner really) at one cafe, then cake at another finishing with the best ice cream in Derbys' (IMHO anyway) on the way home.  :thumb:

I am so happy for you. :smirk:

Today after going to work (remember that?) I changed the engine oil and filter.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Being retired isn't all good. Its unrelenting 24/7,52 weeks a year no holidays or time off and only the future and an index linked pension to look forward to.
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can.

You all have to remember that it is quite stressful being retired,it’s took me several weeks to organise my next holiday in Oz in October, it’s very expensive around Phillip Island and I have had to use a hotel about 30 mls.away, after all I have to watch my money as I am just an ordinary pensioner.Just got back from an evening chip shop run to Longnor and then finished up at Matlock for a cuppa at Kosta’s.Didn’t leave until after 10 as it’s great watching the idiots showing off, it’s the best time to watch as they don’t come out until it’s nearly dark.

Traffic on A12, M25, M3 A303 was dire and mostly sub 40mph. A38 was good and giddy speeds of 70 were attainable. Took 8 hours. The T120's poor fuelling revealed itself in slow stop go traffic and the poor  suspension  was shown up on the long bends of the A38. Bum ache even with an Air Hawk pad. Not that I'm complaining.

Headed off to Fat Rat's Bikers Campsite.
Rocked up just after 10, offered tea and a full fry up (new addition to the menu).
"Don't mind if I do" was my reply.
And lovely it was too.

Out for a spin with Andy on the hunt for Rice Pudding as per Dragon Lady's request.

120 miles and 4 hours we returned with 3 can of Ambrosia.

Fire pit lit.
Beer in hand.
Trying to brush all the spiders off me after a visit to see the progress on CJ.

Rode the T120 home. Set off from Looe petrol station at 0915 and got home 327 miles later at 16:50 The A303 was a bit slow past Stonehenge again. A coach that was behind me slowed to less than 20mph so the passengers could get a nice view. WHAT A TOSSER. They should put a fence up to stop the rubber neckers holding up the traffic. Look, it's just a pile of stones with no relevance or value other than to provide a spectacle for gormless morons. Other than that the trip was almost without incident.

Fed up with the pogostick suspension on the T120 so today ordered dual rate front springs and pre-load height adjusters,  rear shocks and a 2 into 1 exhaust from "Tec bike parts".
