Another ride straight from work again. This time Terling in Essex
I mentioned this before  lol  I took a few pictures like I do
Terling windmill ( now a house ) was used in the filming of the Will Hay classic Oh Mr Porter in 1937 also staring Moore Marriott and Graham Moffatt.
And Liam Howlett from the Essex band the Prodigy used to live in the windmill with his then Girlfriend Radio 1 DJ Sara Cox.
This is a beautiful Essex village.

Took the Guerrilla for it's first service
" Have you brought the service book?"
"there isn't one"
"It's at the back of the handbook"
"The handbook is on line" Did you expect me to open the file and print the back pages?"
Sometime I feel like that crazy stuff is becoming normal.

Rode 3 bikes today............
CBR600RR, CRF250 Rally and my Strom....Wahey....

Loved the buzz from the RR , but the paranoia of getting caught doing ***  mph ( yep.. three figures needed  :icon_wink:) has meant it has gone for a 250 Rally.
One owner, 10k , never seen wet or mud, super clean.
Gpr titanium exhaust with stainless header , seat concepts seat, Honda rack , and some decent Dunlop tyres.

And not FECKIN RED...

Pick it up next week...... Peddars Way ...look out.. :happydance:

Going to be spending a happy afternoon ordering tyre levers / tubes and a trail jackstand ..... and not worrying about getting a speeding summons....

That looks lovely Nigel. I'd love to get one like that but it'd get nicked round here
Looking forward to seeing some pics of it out in the wild.

I'm a little envious Nigel. I spent a lot of time on Honda XR400's and they were lovely. But remember.....them there trails can bite real hard.
Enjoy fella.

I am too old to worry about getting air these days, bimble /don't die... is my default offroad setting now.
The CRF will be my 6/7th small trail bike.
I say 6/7th because back in the day I had two Xl 185s , one after another, and was offered another in boxes for a good price.
I bought the boxes, got it home , and found most of a bike but no front wheel. All good , even the ignition coil came in handy later on.
At the bottom of the box was a tiny ally number plate for the bike . You could get away with tiny plates then..
It was the same number as the bike I was riding..........

Different Times ... :icon_wink:

I've had 2 XR250R's, 2x XR650R's and 1x XR400r, all of them were fun but I have to say that one of the 250's was tatty when I bought it because I knew I would fall off a lot (proper fun). It was the most fun. I would love to own a CRF but know I wouldn't use it much these days.

Enjoy your new bike and don't be afraid of getting it dirty, that's what it's made for.  :auto-dirtbike: :thumb:

This morning Barkbusters came in the post for the Guerrilla.

When They were on the bike I fished out some old ones that I had once fitted to an NC 750 X. After some considerable faffing about I got them fitted to the V7. Being grubby and black they match quite well.

Not for rough riding No. Just the reduce the rain and flies on my hands
