Any further observations on the tall MRA screen Graham? I'm thinking of getting one, but I'm a short-arse (5'8") and can't decide between tall and 'short' MRA (tending to the tall one - I can always set it low). My X has the sports screen on a madstad, big improvement, but might need more for longer trips at sustained speeds...

You are welcome to try my screen on Your wee if you like, it only takes 5 mins to swap over. PM me if you want to try it at some point over the weekend, Bry.

Hi
I have a 09 GT with standard screen, and a lot of asprin for the headaches .

I have ordered a sports screen but in the meantime am riding nekked, ie no screen - looks ugly but works a treat , no  visor shake , no headaches , plenty of 'clean' air  :thumb:

Go Nekked , get wind

My local bike dealer got me a Suzuki sports screen - same as DL650X - it doesn't fit on my K9 GT ... whaadda 'eck !

Back to dealers, yep s'right says they .. Zuki don't do a sports screen to fit the K9 GT ...what the 'ell ?? Does this mean that the k9 X has got different screen fittings from the GT ?

faints - with shock  lol

'ugger 'ugger stoopid zuki ... used lots of washers and bits from the box to angle my GT screen and  that seems to help a bit ..

slainte mhath

I would question the dealer on that sports screen. I replaced my DL650X K9 sports screen with an MRA; lots of people with standard screens replace them with MRAs. If an MRA can replace both types of screen, it suggests they have the same fittings. I seem to remember that some people on this forum have replaced their standard screens with X sports screens too, though whether they where on GTs or not I can't remember.
My guess is that the sports screen is from a completely different model.

I was away on holiday for a couple of weeks so didn't have much chance to try it, but it does what it is supposed to.
I have it set too high, and haven't got around to lowering it yet, so will have a better idea once I have set it on the middle setting so that I can have the winglet up without blocking my view. (I am just over 6 foot - used to be 6'2" but I seem to have shrunk!)
A Wee parks near where I work with the smaller screen, and I must say it looks smarter/neater than the tall screen - but it's not about the looks, is it? With the Madstad you would probably be OK with the smaller screen as you have more adjustment to play with than the standard Suzuki three positions.
Bry's offer sounds a good'one. Nothing better than trying it yourself.
