Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good Powdercoater in the Suffolk area, got a few parts I want doing.

First is the coolant tank cover on the engine which has somehow corroded beneath the paint:



Second is the rear cargo rail (which has a few chips in its paint, albeit absolutely tiny chips, where the metal has begun to rust now.

Hell, if it works out well I'll probably strip it down and get the swingarm powdercoated too (got the typical chips on the back of it... hasn't gone rusty yet thanks to copious amounts of ACF50, but it'd be really nice to get it completely recoated!

Try Aerocoat. They have a very good reputation locally. They're near St Olaves on the A143 between Gorleston and Beccles. Their website is:-   http://www.aerocoat.net/

The water pump housing is the first bit that corrodes on the v-strom. They nearly all do it!!!
This might be of interest to you.

The benefit is that you can do it in situ, which if you use your bike everyday is obvious better.
I'm going to do mine over the winter, but will probably use silver paint.

BTW has been a long time since Minkyhead's posted. Has anyone heard from him lately :shrug:

Spray can of Hammerite satin smooth - excellent stuff. Do not buy it in Halfrauds, ripoff! :violence-uzi:
