Whatever you're looking for it's probably on Ebay. I hear they have everything. In other news I hear DFS are having a sale and there is 60% of oil filters at Eurocarparts.

Top moaning by the way. :thumb:

I do use that at home sometimes :)  ...but I'm not sure about the work computers - I'll give it a try though.

Just a minor gripe but the word "delete" is becoming universally used for the removal of things. It relates only to text or written things. Buying an exhaust link pipe to remove the catalyst does not delete the catalyst. The act of removing your rear wiper from your souped up hatchback is not an act of deleting either. Removing the model name or engine size badge IS an act of deleting as these designations are text based.

Now that gripe has been ranted I feel much better...  :topic_closed:

I hate that too, Paul. Some of the American custom sites talk about deleting the rear fen....erm, mudguard. No. You are removing it. Delete it from the drawing by all means, but removing chunks of metal is a physical process. Can we delete the originator of  this misuse of the word?

Why do Americans start sentences with 'I mean'?

Why are there so many snowflakes about? When I went to school you ate what was put in front of you and were grateful. Vegetarians were cows, rabbits etc. Vegans were unheard of!

"Snowflake" is a derogatory term intended to be a put down of those who care about 'stuff'. Stuff they eat, drink, breath and live on. Maybe,if there had been more snowflakes around, the 'gung ho import anything brigade' would not have brought Foot and Mouth disease into the country.

Nah, Snowflakes are the people (usually white) that decide things like referring to a Black Board is somehow offensive. When are they going to rename White City in London  :smirk:

I think there is a difference between due concern and Snowflakery. The snowflake mindset is to go into implacable meltdown over the most trivial things. Taking a stand on a big issue is good (beak vs beakless etc). Going into a state of apoplexy because the person in front of you in the bus queue doesn't have the correct change is Snowflakery.

Once, on a management training event, I was down marked for not thanking some twit for her contribution or inviting her to expand upon her crazy idea.  My rationale for this unacceptable rudeness, that she obviously did not understand the objective, the environment or any of the discussion up to that point fell on deaf ears. It seems that, in the modern world, it matters not that a company fails, employees lose their jobs, shareholders their investments or creditors/ customers their cash. No. What matters is that everyone feels they are a valued member of the team.

Now, after 3 days of showery rain, indicating the start of the East Anglian monsoon season  (with apologies to those who live in the North West). What has been your best wet season riding gear?

I hit an unexpected new ford/fjord on the Holmfirth Road this morning. The bow wave came over the screen and washed the tank down. Richa over jacket packamac thing and railway spec originally orange bib and brace trousers from the auction site kept it all out.

eBay - I've bought many things, but sold very few.

Apparently as I haven't sold 25 items in 3 months, then eBay can put my Paypal receipt on hold for three weeks to make sure the buyer doesn't have cause to complain.

The buyer collected from me within 24 hours, the item was marked as collected and with great feedback added in both directions, yet eBay are still holding on to all my money from the sale. They will still take their fee of course.

How does that work? Do I need to sell another 15 items before I get money released more quickly? It was pretty embarrassing for the poor sod that came to collect the item when Paypal sits there showing his deposit is on hold too.

on hold for three weeks

That had me in a bad mood too when it happened to me recently. To be fair my money was cleared into my account sooner than they said.
