No usb socket either but two type C sockets that I don't even have a cable for! Just spent an hour to turn off all the warnings, speed, lane, etc so it'll not drive me mad now, even found a tachometer rather  than  that stupid eco meter crap. Still like driving my old Swift better though but hopefully it'll grow on me, its here for the next 3 years either way.

F***ing trains! It took 8 hours to get from Milton Keynes to Morpeth today for what should have been a sub 5 hour journey. Late trains, breakdowns, point failures, you name it. Everything but leaves on the line...

On the bright side I was 'at work' and getting paid to endure the misery that is our rail network...

Buy shares in the train co so you can profit further from your misery!

I'm going in to work today (overtime) and part of that will be claiming my 'delay repay' from Cross Country. The best bit is I get to keep it but my company paid for it !

I am cleaning up my son's bike before putting it up for sale. The engine cases are ragged with peeling paint. I decided to try ' Simonez engine enamel'. Although it is advertised as being on sale in a number of places, it isn't available when I ask. I could have ordered it from M&P for about £12 a can but elected to go to EUROCAR parts. Click and collect and ordered yesterday morning for collection today. I drove the 30 miles to their depot and found they had supplied one can 'Aluminium' and one can ' Gloss Black'. I told them I ordered two cans of Aluminium.
There followed a short inquest when it was discovered that the 'Black Gloss' can had been awarded a cap from an 'Aluminium' can. ###
"Sorry sir w'ell sort it out and it will be here for you to collect after 9am tomorrow."
So I have driven 60 miles to collect one can will have to go back for anoth 60 trip to get the other one. 120 miles is about 10 litres at £1.42. So that's £8 per can ( £16 for two) plus £14 for fuel  means £30  and that is £6 more than getting it on line. :dl_smiley_banghead:
I really should have bought it on-line from M&P.

But Rusty, what about your lovely warm van?
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Funny riding past all these new electric cars in the winter that are stuck in traffic. Nearly all are wearing coats and gloves...  lol

If they've got Renault Zoe's (my first 'leccy car, the heater was absolutely rubbish). My MG EV5 is a very pleasant place to be, as is the wife's Kia E Niro (heated seats & steering wheel no less). Nice & warm, nice & quiet and VERY cheap to run. What's not to like about that ?

I like my e-van, 2112, but - we have more vans than charging points, we share vans with the afternoon shift, and some people can't be arsed to plug in even if they can get to one. Half the fleet has to move another van to get near a socket, and keys aren't always where they should be. Our uninsulated vans have a biggish volume, and when you're climbing in and out, soaked through, a dozen or more times a day, the heaters can't  keep up without draining the batteries to a surprising degree. I'd have an e-car for home use, though.

EV fleet use can be an issue, especially if the staff are not fully 'onboard' with it. Some of our local council fleet are now on EV's and they forever run out of leccy as staff 'forget' to plug them in. The NHS are getting quite up to speed with them and all the drivers are plugging in over lunchtime so they can get the full day out of the vans with ease. The wife's former Pharmacy uses a Nissan e-NV200 for deliveries and they've got it well sorted now. Plug in at the end of the day and a boost charge at lunchtime, sorted. They've never run out or had any EV related issues. Education is the key...

Just passed my yearly rip off MOT exam, it requires an 80% minimum pass rate and most of the questions are about scenarios that would never happen ...  :dl_smiley_banghead:

 lol yearly?

:old: I only went on one just to be a tester. You would be "asked" to attend a refresher if your tests and spot checks weren't up to much. I was a tester for about 15 years.
