Screen Removal
« on: March 25, 2011, 19:37:53 »
Went to remove the screen on my DK1000K6 only to find that, after removing the two initial cover plates, the remaining 4 screws actually holding the screen were just going round and round.
It seems there must be non captive nuts on the inside of the fairing.
Is this right?

The four allen headed bolts screw direct into the fairing stay brackets. Sounds like a previous owner has stripped them and put nuts on the back possibly ? Best of luck getting the buggers off   :thumb:

Sorted!

They were in rubber so just needed a little lever persuasion... :fix:

Thanks for your reply. :thumb:
