Hot ride in France..err...I mean Yorkshire
« on: August 12, 2022, 20:00:22 »
Could have for all purposes been France as red hot from off and land parched, only food stops and quality of roads gave it away as little Britain, lovely though.

Our white horse has be re-painted - yeah, fraud indeed, but it stands out well again from miles around

Though the food is a joy travelling abroad, a full English and a fish finger sandwich is a joy and best done here in UK rather than abroad. Seaways as I'm sure plenty know.

Thixendale and only the second ever 999 call I've made.

First was coming back from a fell run one evening when a cow was running the wrong way (is there a wrong way to a cow?) down the A19 duel carriageway  :icon_no:

This one a huge plume of black smoke. Fortunately the Fire Brigade were aware - it wasn't a field on fire (too black) a combine / harvester has caught light...sounds expensive...and dangerous in tinder dry conditions.

Tinder, Combines...is that a tory MP thing

Anyway on the way home you could see evidence of smoke in vale of York.

Difficult times

Back home a (safe) BBQ in the garden and just like being on holiday, shorts and vest - wonderful.

Glad I'm not a fire fighter though - credit to them.

130 odd miles and wonderful.

Bloody hot mind

Nice trip with good piccies.

Is that a Sat Nav or a phone above the handlebars and how is it fastened to the bike?
Reason for asking... we're thinking of getting a Sat Nav

Aye - God's Own County. Keep quiet about the Wolds though!
