The marvel that is the internal combustion engine.
« on: January 09, 2021, 13:13:34 »
This video made me hold my breath.
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.

Quite remarkable.
It's pronounced 'twenty-one-twelve'

This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can. Nothing travels faster than the speed of time.

Staggering how it can all happen so fast and still keep perfect time. I was mesmerised watching the valves rotating.
Old enough to know better, but still too young to care...

That struck me, too. Never imagined them doing that. Amazing. Between being jammed into the seat and smacked on the head, and under constant spring pressure, they still find time to twizzle round. Probably not a deliberate design feature, but must be good for evening out wear.

Cams, rockers and followers etc.are all made slightly offset to make the valves turn to equalize wear.
