Keeping it Clean
« on: March 31, 2020, 11:40:07 »
Yellow seat on the Bee-Strom, does anyone have any recommendations on keeping it clean. Get a black seat! yes I’ve thought of that. I use ‘Everbuild’ wonder wipes to clean it but there are some marks that are stubborn. Any recommendations appreciated.

Anecdotally magic erasers work well,  not tried them myself but can't see any harm.

I find the Cif/Jif type kitchen cream cleaners handy for that sort of task.
Preferable one without bleach and test for adverse reaction on an inconspicuous area first of course.

Strangely enough the seat on my bike was awful looking when I got it back and a friend said “try WD40”. And you know what - came up a treat.

On a related note, any tips for getting scuff marks off the seat, caused by the heel of my boot whilst dismounting?

As suggested by timangus, WD40 usually takes marks off of coloured vinyl seats. Used to use it on my MotoCross bikes in the ‘80’s when a black seat didn’t seem to cut it anymore.
