I also love my altberg’s - as they’re good for on the bike of walking. I’ve just replaced mine as I've had them for quite a number of years and they were really in a poor state.
Anyway, there’s an army surplus shop in Glasgow called GoArmy and you can either visit or do mail order. The Altbergs I got were used but they were actually in pristine condition. They were even highly polished, too - so much have belonged to a recruit. They cost £39….
