Bars, back and up.
« on: February 15, 2015, 13:01:15 »
Gentlemen, Ladies ?  I have just been wading through the vast number of posts with regard to "Bar Risers" and I am more confused than when I started so may I ask a simple question. I have a 2014 Glee, I wish to raise and pull back the bars as much as possible utillising the standard cables, wires and hose's. I would prefer to source the required hardware from a UK based supplier. Would anyone who has had and has satisfied similar requirements please share with me their experience.

Many Thanks

Geoff.

I did I have up and back pivot risers ... Just needed to remove cables from the upper "clamp" ..looks like a big paper clip ... I never put them back in but you might be able to if not stretched ....

I have a 2013 Glee and I fitted SW Motech ones.  Very easy to fit and they didn't need any mods to cables or hoses.

It was definitely from SW Motech...The link you've sent me takes me to a shopping cart.

They have 4 choices on the website, and they all only look like they raise the bars, not raise and back. Although the images on websites aren't always reflective of the product.

When I ordered mine I remember not being able to identify them on the website. I phoned them and they knew exactly what I was after. I've got the silver ones which look fine.

Its about 25mm up and 20mm back.

Spot on, SW recommend 20mm risers for standard control lines and your supplier is even cheaper than the importer. Result. Thanks for everyones help.

From memory on past discussions.

The limit (for the standard hoses, control wiring) on the Glee seems to be:-

30mm for risers. The up and back risers also just fit (one of the hose holders just needed bending "straightening" a little to offer more slack).

20mm should fit with absolutely no other fettling needed.

Other members will be along shortly to confirm their findings too.
