Clearly not a popular choice!!

Not a DL1000 but I run them on my 990. I was warned of tyre wear of biblical proportions by residents of this shire but that hasn't manifested itself upon me: I've put about 2k on them over the summer & there's still much more to go on them. Not as good as I was getting from Anakee 2's on the Glee but these things have a legendary appetite for rear rubber and you don't get rear Michelins in 18". I've read many tales of tyres lasting 2-3k on Adventures so I'm doing well so far. They don't fare well on the heavier bikes it seems: 2112 had used them on his Caponord I think & they were gone in 2500.

I'm pretty happy with them to be honest - despite the tale I wrote earlier, they've been quite decent the rest of the time: a cold tyre, slippy road and an excess bitumen moment aren't the norm for them.

They're probably the best choice I have for a more road oriented tyre in the sizes I'm stuck with.

I'll drag myself out of the warmth to the garage & take pics of them.

Rear is just starting to show a flatter band around the middle - front still has the central mould line visible. Front isn't that really shiny: I'd given it a quick wipe to get the road crud off it.

Thanks for that.  My mate just put them on his 990 and he reckons they're the best thing since sliced bread!!!
They seem popular enough on the US VStrom forums.......but we have different weather and road surfaces then the Yanks.
The deal on the Anakees works out at €175 landed in Ireland for me (weak euro) and I then have to take my wheels off and and pay another €40 to have them mounted, then put the wheels back on.
I can drive in and drive out with a new set of Scorpion Trails for €250.
