It's a nice idea Hutchie, but if your tyres aren't made in the 9th 10th week of this year and they are not the same size (ie not exactly the tyres in the recall), then don't even bother thinking you have a chance. Aye, I know about the dates thing, just have not been well , so haven't seen my bike for 2 days now, ffs, that's the longest ever I've not ridden it since I got it, it'll be sulking by now.

Never know, I might be lucky on the dates, my rear was fitted in April, so it's possible

Well good luck with it. If you're interested, I have just posted the full text of the emails I have exchanged with Metzeler so far. It's got to be the worse example of customer relations I have ever seen!
