Scorpion Exhaust not fitting properly on Vstrom 2018 1000

Hi All, I have just bought a carbon Scorpion Serket exhaust for my Vstrom 1000 AL8 and when I went to fit it on the bike it's like the collector pipe on the bike is too small for the exhaust link pipe and the clamp cannot be tighten enough to secure it, and still moves around. Has anyone inserted an exhaust gasket or am I missing something? The OD of the bike pipe is 52mm while the exhaust ID is 55mm. Any help appreciated

Hi, I had this on my sv because I used an evotec hanger, I contacted scorpion and they sent me another link pipe a bit longer, that and some spacers sorted it, send the photo and speak to them, they are really helpful.

Thanks for your reply Mark65. I have sent them an email, there's not phone number on the website. Did you have to pay extra for the link pipe? What I noticed is that on the link pipe that goes into the main bike exhaust pipe there are no cut outs that allow the clamp to tighten it on the main pipe.

No mate it was free, if there's no slots how does it clamp?, maybe it was an error, post images when done, I might replace the lump I have on mine in a bit.

Scorpion came back to me saying that the link pipe was wrong and was supposed to have the cut outs to be able to fit with the clamp. Unfortunately because I bought the exhaust from a friend, so used, but the original sale was less that a year ago, they did not offer the pipe link replacement for free but they've asked for £57.50 posted.
So my solution was to cut out with an angle grinder the slots and now fits properly.
The model is the Serket Exhaust and they have it on their website for the DL1000, but it might fit the 650 as well, depends on the size of the collector pipe after the exhaust valve

Thanks, but it seems for whatever reason the 650 version has the joints in the wrong places not like the SV650 or DL1000 so I'm scuppered.

Maybe the 650 doesn't have the exhaust valve?
