Not heard anything about this. Looks like a single seater, we've all been pushed into working in pairs round here. I'm impressed how he's managed to get a 74 plate vehicle so filthy in the cab in such a short time.

I remember when I was in Germany (years ago) the post vehicles and I can't remember what they were but they were right hand drive so the postman/ lady could step out onto the pavement. Brilliant idea in my opinion.  :thumb:

will it stop my postman single handedly destroying my unadopted road with skids and wheelspins?
This doesn't last forever, so do it while you can. Nothing travels faster than the speed of time.

No. The heavy batteries will kill it even faster.

Wouldn't it be better as a left hand drive? It would stop post getting out into the traffic.

Just like the German ones the doc was talking about. Some of the American small post vans are rhd for the same reason. I thought this Canoo was a single seat, slide across cab at first. Not so sure now.
I had to use an electric Mercedes van today. My Peugeot, 170 mile range had a flat tyre. The Merc had 70% charge when I got in, and 57 mile range. It was freezing, so I put the heating on and screen demister. Range instantly dropped to 27 miles. Impressive.

Blimey Rusty   That is about right  lol   So what happens when the van is out of charge and you still haven’t finished your round ?

Someone in diesel Kagoo/Corsa has to pick him up and finish the round, while a massive diesel truck has to recover the electric van.

Or he manages to find a charging station that works and everyone gets a tracking notification "We're sorry your mail is late, your postie had the audacity to want a modicum of comfort and now is stuck outside Costa for the next 8 hours"

Or more simply there will be a new tracking point "At charging point, awaiting sufficient charge"

It's been almost entirely electric out of Ashington sorting office for a while now. No issues other than the usual bumps & scrapes that vans get around town and in the depot. All the posties love them because they heat up almost immediately and defrost just as quick.

Yes, my Peugeot is fine. Our office hasn't enough space or charging points for all the e-vans, so charging is a farce. And we've had one thermal runaway with associated collateral damage.  None of us like the Mercs.

Legacy manufacturers (the more established like Mercedes, Audi, Ford etc) were a bit late to the electric party and you tend to find their products are not that good from an EV point of view. The French were in quite early, along with the Japanese & Koreans and it's paying dividends. The Chinese are the world leaders in battery technology and it's up to everyone else to catch up!

Canoo appear to have filed for bankruptcy. Maybe the world wasn't ready?

Are you telling me Canoo are are up the creek without a paddle?
To be happy, I don't need private helicopters,a Florida house or a yacht. I'm fine with my motorcycle,a trip to a forest in Bavaria and some lunch money.
