Givi Tankbag Fitment
« on: October 20, 2022, 12:29:36 »
Don't really like the tank ring style tank bags or the Bagster style tank jacket so before our French trip I bought an old style Givi. The type where you have a base strapped to the tank.
Really like it, only things I didn't like was its a bit fiddly to attach the base and the front strap which goes round the headstock made it a bit unstable.
So today I made some new straps for the front.
Bought some big dog lead clips and a meter of webbing. Missus sewed the clips to the webbing, cut to length and it works a treat. Easy to attach and much more stable. Had to file the insides of the dog clip for a bit more clearance but it's a tidy job.
Total cost about £5.60

Oh forgot to say the clips attach to the fairing mountings in front of the tank.

And note, you can't just post a picture you need to have something in the 'message body' ....a full stop will do!
Plus, if the size of the photo file is too big the forum won't like it, you might to need to make  the file smaller.
