Does everyone here use the Suzuki recommended pressures, or Bridgestone's or some other value?
I ask because I noticed the bike tramlining on grooves in the M4 yesterday. When I have had this before it was because the tyre pressures were too low.

On the CBR and Diversion forums, it was often recommended to use 36 lbs/sq in front and 42 rear as all road tyres were designed for the same pressure, no matter what the bike manual or Haynes says.
This is the first bike I have had with trailie type tyres, so I am not sure what is recommended.

Always used 36/42 for mine.  Never had any issues with these.

Suzuki recommend 33/36 which seemed a bit low.
I'll give them a bit more air tomorrow.

What tyres do you have on it? As the 33/36 is also what is recommended by conti for the trail attacks on my 1000 which I've been running for the last few weeks without any grip problems.
I would be interested to know if you notice a great difference when you up the pressure as I also thought 33/36 was a tad low!

Whenever I have had this in the past with pure road tyres, (Battlax, Roadrunners, etc.) I check the pressures and they are always too low. I read you should always use the tyre manufacturer's recommendations, not the bike maker's, but I didn't know if this applied to Trailwings.
I will try 36/42 and report back if it makes a difference.

I justr checked the Bridgestone website. They recommend 36/40 for Trail wings (Higher than Suzuki's 33/36) and 36/42 for Battle Wings

When I had my KLV I ran 36/36 I ran this as an instructor, and playing in between training. I got good mileage and excellent grip at these pressures, give em a try  :thumb:

36-42 on Trailwings and Battlewings. 33-36 on the Conti TrailAttacks.

In relation to this, the bike runs the standard pressures listed in the manual - 33/36

I've got Tourances fitted (courtesy of Andy) but I've got to change the rear tyre now, so it will be another Tourance until I'm ready to change both at the same time at which point I'll probably be looking for some advice and recommendations.

Is there any need to change the pressures from what is listed in the manual?

I have a varied riding style - quite sedate usually but I'm going out next week with a few lads from work where I know the pace will be "spirited".

Any advice re: pressures?
