Giant Defy 3 2011 XL (Bicycle)
« on: April 16, 2014, 16:14:12 »
Selling a Giant Defy 3 (Bicycle) in size XL. I'm 6 foot 2 and it fits me well, I remember when buying it, that XL was for 6'1 - 6'6 or something like that. The bike itself comes with a saddlebag which is big enough to fit inner tube/keys/other small bits in, has shimano clipless pedals (original pedals included), mini pump, speedo, mudguards and Schwalbe Blizzard Sport tyres (Better grip vs standard, especially in wet). I'm looking for £300 on gumtree (When I put it there), but I'll knock 15% off for you fine fellows, so £250 (Well 255, but I'll round it down)

I also have the cycling shoes which you can have for £20 extra, I 'think' they're size 48. I do remember it corresponds to size 13 shoe size though. I doubt anyone will be that big of a size so no doubt they'll end up going to the charity shop.

Bike can be picked up from my home address in Carlisle (Will reveal address if you're properly interested), else I can 'probably' deliver up to about 40 miles, any further and I'll have to start charging.

Nice bike, shame I'm not allowed another bike (of any kind), should sell quickly at that price I'd have thought, good luck.

Got someone from Haydon Bridge coming to look at it in 20 mins, hopefully he'll buy it ;p He contacted me about 45 mins after I put it on gumtree.

How long before he's knocking on the door "where's my motor ?".

I don't understand these things, this morning I was helping my daughter find somewhere to watch The Tour. I should disown her really. But she has had 3 bikes, last one a Bandit 650.

I don't really get the reference MartinW?

I was a bit sad to see it go, it was the machine which helped me (with healthier eating) lose 55kg/9 stone, but once I got a motorcycle I never went back on a pushbike it was just far too slow and too much effort  :haha: I would always think "When I can go up the road, maybe 10 miles in an hour, or go on the motorcycle 100 miles in an hour (Or just over) which would I rather?"

lose 55kg/9 stone,

Amazing and brilliant.

I guess I could pick up 126lbs/57kg but carry it around every minute of every day, no way.

Afraid not, why, you interested? They're a size 49, 13.5UK. I'm a size 13 and they fit me perfectly (because your feet swell a little when riding).

@Hilldweller It is an amazing amount of weight which you don't realise how much it is until you try to physically lift it with your arms. we used to get 20kg bags of potatoes, so it was almost 3 of them which is a lot of weight.

They may be a tad large in that case, I'm normally a 12 / 47. Not to worry

Thanks.
