Post by: Keith Cross on June 07, 2011, 18:36:33
I own a Goldwinhg and one of the reaqlly useful things it came with is fitted bags for the luggage.
Does anyone here know where I can get some for the Vstrom luggage?

Hein Gericke do a couple of universal size inner bags. My mate got some for his Givi's and they seem very good quality. Maybe worth a try ?

I use these in my Pelis. The tremendous Sainsbury's Super Shopper:

I'm serious: strong, 50p each (or free from Your mam's) and fit Pelis perfectly (YMMV)    Plus, if someone nicks them when I'm touring abroad, they'll stand out like a sore thumb.  :thumb:

These might do the job depending on what size your panniers are!

Going to oder 1 for my Givi Topbox, don't seem too bad @ that price! :thumb:

Edit......Just mite order 2.........might be able to fit them both in!

I have used two  Aldi duffle bags strapped on top of side panniers for carrying camping gear on one side and spare clobber on the other. Very versatile, waterproof and absolutely do the trick.

Waitrose equivalent of Sainsbury re-useable carriers fit my side cases perfectly and two easily fit into a Maxia top box, result!

Went to Germany last week, first time I used the silly Strom panniers. I used two Gelert 30l stuff sacs in one pannier - £4 each from Amazon if I remember correctly. One stuffed fairly full, one around 1/2 full fitted a treat.

The other side got the good old bin bag (white thick plastic ones from Aldi/Lidl) & it too worked well, I got more in that side by packing a shirt rolled around pants and socks and putting each "day" roll into its own tesco bag & it was good for all the dirty stuff as the holiday wore on. I just used two Penny Market bags for the return trip - similar to Lidl bags, stuffed full of dirty washing.

Big rucsack in the top box - almost filled it, just enough space let for a 500ml bottle of water, my disc lock, a spare pair of gloves and a bit of old yoga mat to use as a seat protector for the tie-down straps. Used the rucksack to carry electronics/chargers, kindle, paperwork & a full change of clothes for the overnight ferry from Newcastle.

Honestly, what were Suzuki thinking when they came up with a TRIANGULAR design for their panniers?
 :wtf:

I would like to get some waterproof liner bags for my OEM Suzuki luggage.
Apart for "supermarket bags for life" to jam in the top box, no-one seems to do anything to "fit" the panniers.
Got to keep the Mrs happy when we stop off for an evening.
Somehow, shopping bags wasn't what we had in mind!

I'll keep looking...
