I saw some Sidi Adventure boots at the bike show yesterday, very interested - has anyone here got a set and if so what are they like ??? Anyone :shrug:

Looks nice in a quick glance, but the price isn't. MCN says they are priced at £285, quite steep, they'll have to be very good to part people from that kind of money.

Yes, they are a bit pricey but I've found a local shop that will do them for £240. I've tried to find some reviews from owners of the boots on the interweb but to no avail... We'll see what the sales bring ?

I don't think you will go far wrong with any sidi boot and these get real good reviews on ADVrider.

I've been in possession of my Sidi Adventures for nearly two weeks now and I have to say that I am very happy with them. They didn't take long to break in at all and I was riding with them on the next day, however it did take me by surprise when I went to put my foot on the rear brake pedal. I couldn't really feel the pedal through the boot so I put more pressure on than I really wanted to and stopped a little faster than usual lol. Anyway it's all good now.
Also I still need to find something to stop the damned squeaking because walking around the house at 06:00 to go to work is driving the wife nuts!! I was going to get my from 'Infinity' until they put their price up to £295 so went back to good old 'Ghostbikes'. I got mine from them at £284.99 and with a %10 discount that I had managed to get them down to £256 with free next day delivery.

How are you getting on with your boots? What sort of riding are you using them for? I am looking for solid pair of boots with decent protection for 50 mile commuter round trips into London on my Strom. Do you think they are a good choice of footwear for that sort of riding? Have they been tested in heavy rain yet?

I'm wearing the boots everyday for work, during the week, and the weekend for play. There's been plenty of rain recently and my feet have stayed completely dry. My only niggle is the bleeding squeaking noise. I haven't found anything yet to put on them to stop it and it's driving my wife nuts. They're very comfortable and if you wear a decent pair of socks then I don't think you'd have to worry about the cold too much. As I said before I haven't had any problems with changing gears but do take it careful with the rear brake when you first go out.

I'm getting more and more interested in buying a pair myself. (Even the squeaking sounds like fun, I can wind my wife up too, hee hee). I'll have to search out a good shop near me and try some on soon. Thanks for your help.

I don't have the adventure boot but from looking at pics they seem damn near identical to my sidi stivali courier boots and they are fantastic. Pretty much a full mx boot but once broken in they are very comfy and supportive, also fully waterproof. Again I'd say a good pair of comfy socks and they will feel good for anyone.
They are quite expensive but my last pair of cheapie boots didn't last so I decided to get a damn good pair this time and I'm glad I did.
