Title: Trailwings
Post by: nt1 on August 03, 2010, 06:25:05
Hi

Just bought a brand new WEE , what sort of mileage can I expect from my Trailwings,I know it depends on different riding conditions etc. but just a rough idea would be great.

                                               Thanks

mine have 8.5k on 'em in just under 14 months, still loads of life left. I know some have worn out in less than 8k though

7,5k
But they are so bad tyres  :-x !
Put it off as soon as possible, don't care about the rest of tread. Your Wee will go much better and a lot saver with any other tyres.

I think the trailwings were designed for the yank market so they are quite hard and long lasting

mine got originals on, done about 6500 miles with a lot two up.  Rear needs replacing now though.

Not sure what this fuss is about them being bad tyres,  I have no problem grounding the pegs with or without the wife on the back so why would you need to ride harder.  I understand they aren't the greatest in the  :rain: but I don't like to ride fast when it is damp anyway.  Too much fooking diesel on the UK roads and no tyre in the world will stop you coming off if you happen to hit a patch.
