Hmm, since I soon won't need to commute on the weestrom, I fancy going the whole hog and sticking TKC80's or something similar on it.
Anyone know what the score is about mixing these with other tyres, I was thinking TKC80 front, and tourance rear.
I have no idea about radial crossply and such, so if somebody (treadtrader mibbe) can set me straight.
Also , what about similar, like MT21's or such. Anyone have any experience?
(I know the bike will be a bit rumblier, and not handle so well on the road, but I want to get offroad more, not just wee gravel paths and sandy lanes.)

Your not going to drag me into a tyre thread, too many keyboard "experts".
Conti TKC80 have a great reputation, and are allways available.
TBM site would be best for info.
Not a good idea to mix brands.
Now, I'm off............................

Put a set of them on, what's the point in all that front grip in the mud if the rear is spinning up all the time!

aye, you're right enough, in for a penny and all that.
End of July when the 80 mile a day commute ends, the tyres should be wrecked, so I'll go for it with the tkc80's. I should get a couple of months out of them whatever anyway, and I'd rather enjoy every mile than go for economy (at the moment)
